Good luck all. I located a bird built a make shift blind. Gears ready to go and nope. I was with my parents all night and won’t be leaving there house for a while. My son and grandson will be sitting tight. I hope it happens. Good luck!!!!!

Went and listened at our place in Elmore this morning. Sounded like three different guys on the bordering hunting club spread out and hooting up a dang storm. Felt like I was on public land

Been listening this morning, heard 2-3 gobble a time or two each. Pretty quiet morning.

Neighbors shot 0645, two shots about 1 minute apart… hmmm

Had 2 jakes fly down and almost land on the decoy. Went to another spot and got one to gobble. He’s gone quiet so I’m pretty sure he’s with hens. Saw 6 more jakes in one of our plots.

Got another year or 2 and I’ll be out there with the oldest grandson.

We had one fly down right to us, he put a show on for 10 mins before my son laid him down. 2 year old turkey, 9 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs. My son is 11 and this is his second turkey, he doesn’t know how lucky he is. I told him you enjoy the easy ones, cause it doesn’t happen often.

Watching a kid shoot a turkey at 10 yards is the best entertainment!

Nothing for us so far. Most of this place is flooded out

Rule #1 At the hunting club! Don’t be mad if you get beat to the spot.
Rule #2 If my kid is with me, it’s a lot more serious.

He got to hear several, played the game with one till his lady’s took him away….

My youngest son killed one, pitched out at 8:03 in our lap. He was with another gobbler and he stayed in the tree till 7:30. 2yo with a 10” beard and weighed 19.33

I fought with a boss hen for 45 minutes at 60yds. She wouldn’t break and he couldn’t get the others herded our way. Lil man had to watch him strut and drum. He was shook.. great hunt

Leave that afternoon huntin alone. 😂

He gobbled once which was all we needed. Thankful he did. Them chicken legs my son is toting around about had all they could take today. Dead at 5:30.
Congrats to all the younguns today. Spending time with them, especially in a place where I spent so much time as a youngster is super special. I hope he understands what it means to be able to do this with him, just like my dad did with me one day. I don’t know if that even came out right, but maybe y’all will understand. Oh, and this one better not pitch out in the cutover in the morning…..

Congrats to the little killers! We had a great opportunity but didn’t seal the deal. Fun times though

Great morning just a lot of hens and solo dominate gobbler are hard to work. Snuck in behind us before his hens flew down but little man never bumped him.

Good lord what a beautiful show.

At a buddies place. We were Running late cause trigger man drags butt in the morning.

Buddy says to set up in his big field in cedar. Turkey’s historically roost on ridge above it.

We bust but to get there In the dark cause it’s wide open.

We barely made it and got set up.

I think every turkey on his farm was roosted above is within 150yards and boy we were in a good spot.

We could hear hens tree yelping as it started getting light then tons of gobbles.

This went on for a hour or more. About 7:30 I break out a call and start cutting and yelping and straight piss some of the hens Off with in a few minutes we had 3 hens pitch and land dang near on us next to the cedar.

As they start milling about feeding we have 11 jakes Come running in from Our 7oclock and cross at 15 yards in a single file line

Trigger man has gun on knees, head down on the stock and heart about to explode but he’s ready!

He lets the jakes walk by and they start dancing with the hens for about 10 minutes with one half strutting.

We still have gobbling going on on the ridge so he lets them all walk and did not shoot and let’s them All ease off.

Thirty minutes later I get the gobblers fired up and three come in over our left shoulder just like The jakes did but hang up behind us at our 7 o’clock at 40 yards strutting and Drumming over our left shoulder with no shot or 15 mins.

They eventually go back up the ridge when they don’t see whet they were looking for.

I can still hear hens in the woods so hopefully we can get trigger man in front of them after he wakes up from his nap in my lap. Lol

We told him not to come back in the cutover. A bunch of Jake’s whipped him right after flydown and took his hens. We let him calm down for a little bit and he walked straight to the gun.
