I want one that can sit on my 308 and 6.5 Grendel. I'd love to know the shortest one with the greatest drop in decibels over unsuppressed. Surely there is a balance between suppressor length and sound suppression. No expert here, but I have an AB warthog that I use on a Browning A bolt 270, a Radical 7.62x39, and a Bear Creek 6.5 Grendel. This is my only experience with a suppressor, but I’m well satisfied overall. I have not shot it a lot, but my youngest daughter killed a deer with the 7.62 and it’s quiet enough with full power rounds that you can hear the bullet smack the deer. Could still hear the bullet hit the deer with my 270, but 270 seems louder than the 7.62 except for the action noise on the 7.62 due to the gun design versus a bolt action.
