Walked down a logging road and launched 10-11. First hunt of the year.

What a great morning up to the trigger pull! Went to a high spot where there’s tons of strut marks to listen and I hear one way off down the rail road tracks so I book it! By the time I get to where I usally kill them he’s already beat me there ans is still gobbling. I get pinned down and lay up against the bank on side of tracks and cluck he cuts me off! I go silent he gobbles another 15 times then I can hear him in the leaves. Sucker pops out on tracks at 10 yds. Immediately knows something is up my hide was minimal I rush the shot he hits the dirt gets up flys off a damn bluff!!! I look for him for a hr to find not a feather. I bet he gobbled over 50 times

All over one for the 3rd day in a row, but he was roosted about 200yds across the line this morning. He gobbled his head off for about 30 minutes, I set up ON the line hoping I could catch him as soon as he stepped across. At one point I saw him pop out into a power line a couple yds away and he was literally running toward me. Then he popped into the woods on the opposite side of the gas line and I put my gun up, thinking I'd see him across from me at any moment....

Nothing

30 minutes later, he gobbled a few more times and apparently, as soon as he popped into those woods, he took a 45* turn and went deeper into the other property. Stupid birds.....

I had 3 gobbling on the roost way on top of a mountain. I was sitting at the bottom of it off the edge of a field. I had to yelp as loud as I could to get a response. 2 minutes later they all 3 landed about 100 yards away from me. Soon as they hit the ground I yelped and they all 3 gobbled and came in strutting straight to me. Shot mine at about 15 yards. Two awesome hunts so far and I've only been twice

Could have easily killed #2 but glad I didn’t because I had a huge fight break out with him and several other gobblers shortly after. Really exciting to watch and listen to.

Sitting near the corner of the property……Got one gobbling down below me but there’s a guy calling to him on the other property….Just gonna sit here and see what happens…..

Well we launched those this morning and one started gobbling. Called a few times and one came in silent. Wife smoked him at 40.steps

Not a peep in S Montgomery county this morning. I had a pic of two yesterday in a green field and plenty of sign but not a peep today.

1st hunt this year…an i looked at him for 30 minutes..til his girlfriend walked him away..i be back tho

I got it done on my 1st ever Turkey at 6:03 this evening. I've been practicing calling. He came in about 75 yrds away with 2 other birds and I did a little soft calling. He came straight to me. Killed him at 15 yards. Not a monster. 19.5 lbs 5" beard 1/2 and 3/4 spurs. I'm proud of him. Pics shortly.
