Terrible casting…..

For all their gum flapping the movie is almost identical to the original. No gayness. A white male kisses her and brings her back to life. Not sure what all the hoopla is about.

That was the question that I asked. Unless I missed it, I haven't read how/why it is woke. I don't doubt it is, but sure seems like a lot of complaining without a single example. Carry on

Wondering the same thing. How is it woke? What’s in it that is making people disgusted and leave? Honestly wanting to know because my daughter wants to go see it, which we will definitely not if it’s full of that crap

It’s woke because it used CHI dwarfs? I could care less if the movie flops but my older daughters took my 9 year old daughter and I tagged along. It had a socialist slant but nothing as extreme as we read in the New Testament. Again I could care less but the truth is surely worth commenting

I think the issue with the movie is more that the girl that plays Snow White is a hamas supporter. I haven’t seen the movie, but all the criticism of it I’ve seen has been associated with her political views, not the actual story line. Now I have heard that the movie is just not a great movie. But as far as their being wokeness in the actual movie, I haven’t seen any criticism of that on any YouTube or X accounts.

Full disclaimer, like I said I haven’t seen the movie and I am sure there is a minimal amount of leftist slant on it as there is with 90% of Hollywood work. But I haven’t seen anyone saying it’s more than normal.

Like many things Disney and other progressive activists, they use sublimity often and goes right over older folks heads. The kids know all the new slang etc….. and pick it up quickly. Parents are trying to keep up with the subtleties but most don’t.

I’ve not seen it nor will I but have read a few things about it and some changes were meaning to offend when explained.

So far after a pretty good google search, I found that Snow White was Latino instead of white, they used fake dwarfs, and snow white wasn’t looking for a prince, she was fleeing the witch. My understanding is the film promotes socialism in a positive light. Emasculates the male roles and plays down any Christian values to the point of slighting them with undertones that promotes a secular world. There were other rewriting the script that mocks the original film.
