Anyone seen or tried this???
Last few years late feb we’ve rounded up several 5-6 ft circles in a green field or 2. Once the grass/weeds has died we rake it and take a small tiller and powder it up. Turkeys need a spot to dust their feathers. Seems they visit these dust holes at least every few days. Sander the soil the better. Give it a try.

I could see that working especially if you don’t have any areas

I find many of them in old abandoned ant beds

Freshen it up with some Home Depot sand. We place ours about 20yds East of our Clorox stumps

I just buy several thousand crickets turn em out at the start of season. Make a little brush pile in the middle of the fields for them to live with a tater or three in it so they can eat.

The sand trick did work for folks in mostly red clay country.

Ive killed a few off dusting areas. Watched a hen in one in Ky last year. She put on a show throwing dirt and dust everywhere. Got some good video.

I've personally seen them in ant beds that have ants. Nature works out for each of them.
