Thanks guys. I know some ppl may call me crazy, but this bird has haunted and harassed me for the last 4 seasons. I’m convinced it’s him. He’s had some peculiar behaviors unique to him, and thankfully I’ve been willing to learn and change. It paid off. I guess it could be a different bird, but nobody will ever convince me otherwise. I’ve clicked an empty chamber on him, missed him, had him run in hot and turn inside out to run off, and he don’t gobble much at all. Today he didn’t gobble a single time. Took me until 8 to find him. Had him dead at 8:30. I just had to get creative.

Imma tryin’ fellas. Birds just ain’t working out. Congrats to y’all!

heard birds every morning i have went . on the limb the gobble good. hit the ground and its like they vanish.

I, on the other hand, managed to coax another very big bird in range this am, hoping my son would shoot. He swung wide right, so I pulled up to shoot when he entered a gap at 31 yards. I missed. Yep. Clean miss! Not a feather! Makes me sick to do that.

I got in a tango with one this morning. About an hour worth of scratching in the leaves and instead of coming the way I wanted him to, he took another ridge and… putt putt putt as he kept easing up the ridge 90 yards to my right.
