The new house we are moving in has a private lake it backs up to. We stopped by to check on some work I’m having done before we move in and the boys all grabbed their rods out of the garage and headed to the back yard. The wife and I stepped out on the back porch to watch them. One of my boys was throwing a black and silver crank bait with a bright red belly. He was reeling it back in past a small point when I saw the water swirl as a bass came out for it. I told my wife to “watch this”. The water absolutely exploded as the bass hit the lure. Unfortunately, it broke the line nearly instantly. It was a lot of fun to watch though and my boys can’t get enough of fishing right now.

That’s great. I take my son to the pond at our apartment. Big sign. No fishing. I tell my boy we are not fishing. We are just testing new baits. He asked well what if a fish gets hooked. That’s the fish fault.
