You apparently run just as much risk of being offensive or "rude" if you answer someone's questions in a clear, concise manner while using proper spelling and punctuation when selling something on FB Marketplace, too.
Yes, I was informed that I sounded rude. I even took a screenshot and sent it to a friend who is a store manager here and she said that she runs into that all the time. Some parts of society have evidently been so dumbed down that they think others are rude and/or offensive if they DO spell and punctuate correctly.
I swear if I was hiring folks, I would want a handwritten paragraph of why the person thought they would be a good fit for the position simply so I could see penmanship and ability to spell and punctuate. A lot of things can be taught, but it grinds my gears when I can tell that it isn't just a matter of tech keystrokes causing the issue.
