It’s a mahonia. Probably leather leaf mahonia. Escaped from someone’s landscape. They thrive in shade and are good options to keep teenage boys away from your daughter’s window. Yep, also known as beale’s barberry, Oregon grape, leather leaf Holley grape. It’s non native and somewhat invasive. Kill it!
