It’s not claw marks.
A friend of mine says it looks like porcupine sign. Anyone ever seen a porcupine in north Alabama? Seen several in Bankhead.

A friend of mine says it looks like porcupine sign. Anyone ever seen a porcupine in north Alabama? Seen several in Bankhead. Really? Ive been around in that forest since the 90's and have never heard of a sighting. How recent? I did see them in S. Dakota. My buddy made the mistake of trying to roll over a road kill one with his boot. FYI the barbs will stick in boots, said boots will leak afterwards.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!

Looks like a porcupine has been eating on the bark. Kinda doubt there are any around these parts but that’s certainly what it looks like.
