Johnson City is the home of Lyndon Baines Johnson and I think the diner must have been here back when he was here. They say they have the "World's Best Chicken Fried Steak" and that they've sold nearly 3 duzen of the things so I would have been remis not to order it for breakfast with some fried eggs and fried taters. Mrs. Irish, on the other hand, ordered the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and green beans, because that's pretty much her favorite meal and who doesn't eat hamburger steak for breakfast... Read the sign. Funny people those Texans... She certainly looks happy to be getting hamburger steak for breakfast... They call this "The Big Boy Breakfast" and I felt like a big boy, or at least my belly did when I walked out of there,
