That fine print is about a 20% add on ! If you keep loading pics , it shows a different truck .

Why exactly have we (consumers, in general) allowed purchasing a vehicle to become such a convoluted headache (specifically all the fine print, hidden fees, and the general dealership-related headaches)? For the folks quite a bit older than me (I'm 40 next month), has it always been such a headache?
Buying a vehicle from a dealership shouldn't be any more difficult or complicated than it is buying from an individual..........here's your money, sign the title over, here's your bill of sale, have a great day. But somehow it's become a complete and total headache to buy from a dealer and we, the general public, are apparently A-OK with that....
I don't get it. And I refuse to buy from a dealership for that very reason

I haven't bought many vehicles in my life, but they've recently all been via email and "what is the out the door price?" and only show up to deliver money and sign. It has been very painless every time.

Probably, most people never pay attention. The last Tundra I bought In Albertville at Sand Mountain Toyota. I told the salesman where I was at and all I was going to pay. He went back and was behind glass supposedly talking to the manager. In all honesty they were both probably laughing at seeing how long they would keep me sitting there. He comes back tells me g he r got everything I wanted at where I wanted to be at. I looked at the number and said are you f-%king kidding me. He asked what was wrong and I told him to look at the number we were at prior to him speaking to his manager and look now. It was 2 grand higher. I got up and walked out. He chased me to the truck and asked what it would take to make the sell. I said simply get at the number I said prior or there would be no deal. I wasn’t hurting for a ride and wasn’t trading in a vehicle so I knew exactly where I was and had to be at.
