If the brass at the new T/C still use it, it ought to be a tack driver once again. Remember: It aint what you shoot...it's how you shoot it.

T/C's new Encore IS going to be chambered for 460 S&W. It will make a great rifle round. I'd guess it will be a bang/flop gun for sure. I just happen to have 70 new Hornady cases for a (future?) 460. I've got 70 new Hornady cases that I don't need if you know anybody who needs them. I load a 450 Bushmaster for my son's rifle and the engineer I talked to at Hornady told me that the 250 gr FTX they make is constructed tougher than the regular pistol bullets and yet still gives good expansion. Perfect for a 460 S&W. Kudo's to Greg Ritz and the new Thompson Center for chambering the new rifle in 460. Last edited by murf205; 04/05/25 11:55 AM. On a side note, picked up a 450 bushmaster barrel for my encore. Tack driver but it eats scope rings for lunch, even with a muzzle brake.

Probably get a few extra sales from folks that were looking at something else but will hold out a few months for a TC. Maybe they will get stock to dealers by the end of Q2. I couldn’t find a dealer listing on their site.
