I’m looking for some different ways to cook the wild turkey breast, other than cutting into strips and frying! I’ve tried grilling it in strips, but I usually wind up drying it out. I’m sure some of you have some different methods, let’s hear them! Thanks in advance, Robinhedd

Skinless half breast. My plan is to inject with some Cajun stuff i bought last week, wrap in bacon, and either put on grill or oven.

I found this recipe for bacon wrapped baked turkey breast nuggets years ago and it’s always a favorite around here!!! 1.) Chunk up your turkey breast in small nuggets…I like to make mine about the size of a half dollar, so they cook faster 2.) Next, wrap each nugget with 1/3 of a slice of bacon (stick a toothpick through the nugget to hold the bacon in place) 3.) After all nuggets are wrapped, use a large mixing bowl to roll the nuggets around in brown sugar…coat them well with brown sugar 4.) Place the nuggets in a large baking pan…I use the throw away aluminum deep pans but any baking dish will work just as long as it is deep enough to contain the bacon grease 5.) Bake in the oven for 20 minutes on 350 6.) Drain the bacon grease after 20 minutes and place back in the oven for another 15ish minutes 7.) Remove from the oven and drizzle heavily with honey 8.) Reinsert back into the oven for about 5 minutes 9.) Remove and enjoy…If you want it sweeter just drizzle with a little more honey after removing from the oven FYI: 2 breast halves will make two large pans of nuggets like this (this is before going into the oven): ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/xpkOpaj.jpeg)

Beat one breast flat with a waffle headed hammer. Make a bacon weave with 14 pieces of bacon (YouTube if necessary) Place breast on top of bacon weave, then spread a stuffing of sharp cheddar, cream cheese, diced onions and jalapeño on the turkey breast. Roll it up into a roll and put on the smoker till 160 internal. I forgot to tell you to season the breast and the bacon with whatever seasoning you like.

Stick whole breast in smoker wrapped in bacon with cherry wood after soaking in brine for 48 hours. Tastes like ham. 😜

Every other way I’ve had it other than fried DRIES it out.
Fry up nuggets and coat with wing sauces is my favorite way to do it. FIFY - i agree - i don’t get cute with wild turkey - fry in peanut oil & dip in Frank’s

Turkey is terrible. Cover it with whatever you like it's still bad. Frying it like chicken fingers makes it tolerable but still it's probably best just to feed the dogs the turkey and leave deer meat for people. Ben, you’re a smart dude and I love ya to death…. But you have lost your dang mind when it comes to this. 😂😂

I used to dress them out whole. Cut the wings, head and feet off. Dunk in a pot of scalding water up and down (fish frying pot) for about 3-5 secs and the feathers come off in handfuls. Deep fry it like a Thanksgiving turkey. I guarantee you even Ben would ask for seconds.
For years I provided the fried turkey for family Thanksgiving at my grandparents. One time my aunt asked where I got the turkey from because it was so good. I said 'The woods!". lol They were all surprised it was wild turkey.

Good that way, but still good when it’s fresh too. You’re about the only guy I know that turns their nose up at it. Different strokes I reckon….
