What’s the best fish food to feed out of a feeder on a 1ac pond? Bass & Bream.

You can buy the feeder pellets and they will fatten up your fish, but over time the fish will take on the flavor of the pellets.

Bass don’t eat fish food for the most part, that’s why you stock bream first, so they produce forage. Steve Brown, the man that stocked a couple ponds for said feed them what you want as long as cotton seed isn’t in it. LeftHorn is the resident pond expert on this site.

Close the thread. There is not a better feed out there. When it comes to fish food, protein content matters, but also what type of protein. Aquamax uses fish meal to get it’s protein. Most other feeds use soybean

You get what you pay for, but you WILL NOT be disappointed in the results

I bought a bag of Purina Game Fish Chow from Tractor Supply since thats what they had in stock and I’m almost through it. I feel like they are growing! Been feeding them half a coffee can twice a day and a couple pieces of old bread. I’m going to order the Aquamax next.

Go to a co op that is a puruna dealer. They should have it. If not, they can get it for you. It willl be cheaper than ordering online or ordering from Tractor Supply.

You want Awuamax MVP. Second choice would be Aquamx 500. MVP has multiple pellet sizes. 500 is all smaller pellets
