JT will always be my 1st choice but he's been on the struggle bus lately. If he can't win it, I'd be happy to see Scheffler win it again, or Dunlap, Spieth or Rory.
Heck, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wouldn't even mind seeing Bryson DeChambeau win it. Just a couple of years ago, I would have said he was one of the biggest douchebags in professional sports, but he has done a complete 180 the last couple of years and is downright "sorta likeable" now. Whoever his manager/PR person is deserves a HUGE raise.

It’s amazing seeing the difference in Bryson. I went from “couldn’t stand him, wouldn’t piss on him if he were on fire” to subscribed to his channel and following him in tourneys. I’d love to see JT get hot and end up with a Green Jacket come Sunday.

Janet’s son went to practice round Monday. Got rained out but spent a little time there before they closed it and said it was the most beautiful place he’d ever seen. I went to a practice round in 1997 and it’s still one of the top 5 most memorable sports memories I have.

Rory screwed the pooch today. Was 2 back at 4 under then double bogied 2 of last 4 holes and finished even par and 6 shots off lead. Was hoping he’d make a run to complete the slam but not this year. You can’t win the masters on day 1 but you can dang sure lose it. He did.

Pretty sure I heard this correctly last night, but they said that no one had ever won The Masters when trailing by more than four strokes after day one.
That means that there are only 6 guys in contention for the championship at the start of day 2...if this holds true.

That means that there are only 6 guys in contention for the championship at the start of day 2...if this holds true. The biggest Masters comeback after round one involved Jack Burke Jr. in 1956, who trailed by eight shots and won. Other significant comebacks include Tiger Woods in 2019, Nick Faldo in 1990, and Gary Player in 1978, all of whom overcame a seven-shot deficit. I think there have been more; Tiger shot 74 in first round in 2005 win.
