I bought a metal detector pointer and use it before I cook the meat. It can be a problem because TSS is much harder than lead and can easily crack a tooth. (I’ve seen it happen) I've read of others doing this. They were using the metal detectors available on Amazon. They are hand-held and are in the $30 range. They look to be about the size of a hair brush. Mine is called Pro-Find precision pinpointing by Minelab. I wouldn’t buy a cheap one.

Steve is that your 28 gauge side by side? If so, how do you have it choked?
No, it's a 20 gauge, and just has a cheap Carlson flush mount choke. It's a .585 and shoots a pattern that's plenty tight for me. The other choke is actually a little tighter, but shoots a bigger pattern because it's an eccentric choke I had to use to get both barrels to the same POI. It weighs 5 lb 6 oz and I have never felt the need for a smaller gauge. I wish it had double triggers, but I never could find a DT gun to work with that didn't have other disadvantages.
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
