I guess if you are a contractor you would never pay a tax on any materials you buy, due to passing it onto the consumer. So the business would never pay taxes? Consumers would have to pay all the taxes for the businesses that they are buying from? Wouldn’t that push prices extremely extremely high?

Taxes on materials are just a cost that businesses pass on to the end user.
