We decided to do an "eater" trip. The catfish did not disappoint us. We caught all these at the first place we stopped using threadfin shad as bait. Many more smaller (and bigger) ones were released as we only wanted the ones in the 3 - 5 lb range for a future fish fry. The water temp is now 62. I don't like to keep fish once the water temp gets 65 or above unless I have a cooler with ice to put them into.

Very nice. I like running my jugs between the arsenal and the 65 bridge.

Nice catch! Fish fry is looking good! How did you catch them?

If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.

I picked a spot that looked like it would hold catfish. Anchored, then cut a threadfin into two pieces and fished it on bottom. They are in pre spawn and easy to catch right now. Catfishing will be good until the end of May. Look at Richard Gene's recent YT video. He did it the same way I did, except he used skipjack for bait.

Fishing is on fire right now. We caught around 35 bass, 5 cats and a few white bass

A couple big smallies

The Tennessee River tournaments keep the bass picked clean off the obvious areas

Y'all should have see how many catfish guide boats were out yesterday

Jet skis with loud radios

I'm glad I grew up fishing before it turned into a yahoo fest
