It is a neurostimulator attached to the glossal nerve.
It could limit your imaging options as far for MRI for the rest of your days.
If you have it removed make sure they remove the leads for it also not just the Implant
I have had many patients not pleased with inspire and other implanted neurostimulators
I Well, the way I see it is there's just too many assholes On a good day there's a bunch of assholes in here. On a bad day there's too many assholes in here.

I have several friends that have one and love it. I work in the medical field and talked with one of my anesthesiologists about it.
I also talked to the local rep and she told me which doctor to use at UAB (best at implantation). Where did you have the procedure done?

Martin Army Hospital did it, I have SEVERE apnea, cpap is a nightnare for me literally, PTSD from C130 beung shit down in Iraq, so anything was worth a try. Inspire is about 10yrs old now, so hoping bugs r worked out. MRI I am good to 1.5 Jules already checked that since I also have a fused spine. I hope it'll work great for you. I didn't realize it had been around that long. I only heard about it a few years ago. Thank you for serving.
