Farmer is gonna want the going rate at the time of harvest. Yep. Depends on the situation , but most would figure the size of area left standing on an acre basis and what ever the bushel per acre the rest of the field runs would be the multiplier.

I would say the value of the standing corn then double that amount for the fact that he will have to modify his field prep to accommodate the left over corn and you are also paying him for the privilege of hunting.

I would say the value of the standing corn then double that amount for the fact that he will have to modify his field prep to accommodate the left over corn and you are also paying him for the privilege of hunting. I'm not following the modify field prep part. Only thing our farmers do is alter the "pattern" when picking . Say he's running a 8 row head , in a large field , he would most likely leave 8 row strips scattered about , instead of a long row or two long the full length of the field.

Yeah, I could see that if the farmer wanted to plant wheat immediately after the corn was picked , depending on planting method used.
