I won’t blame any player for jumping ship for more money. The vast majority of basketball players won’t even get a sniff at a professional roster spot in the US. Even internationally it would be a challenge and likely would not bring near the amount they get paid in college. Go make the money while you can. If somebody ponied up to get CBM to transfer then good for him. This is the new model of NCAA basketball. Every year the roster of top programs will have to be almost completely reset. The days of guys sticking around because of a coach or some allegiance to a school are over. Doesn’t matter who the coach is, they better learn to recruit the portal and learn to build a team out of a majority of transfers and incoming freshmen. Or they better go ahead and find a job with a D2 or D3 program. This kind of thing will only get worse until the NCAA changes the rules around NIL.
