The Thompson QB turned down a million from some card company last year. He would have had to move somewhere other than Alabama to play had he taken the deal. I believe he will be a junior this fall. You are correct. Alabama doesn’t play the high school pay for play.

Hopefully; he is doing it for all the right reasons, but my gut tells me his family is extremely wealthy or he is getting some form of compensation to stay at Thompson. If my son were to be offered that type of money to play ball somewhere, I would be hard pressed to convince myself and my son that staying put would be in his best interest. He will make much more in college. No reason to want it so soon I guess.

Yeah when I was that age I would jump on that $. That kid is more grounded than I was at that age, good for him. Last summer we were driving by that high school and looked like some football players were out there woring out and waved at us and stuff, seemed like good kids.
