How or where can I get rid of one? Popped the top on my chest freezer yesterday and about puked on the spot. About 2” of deer blood in the bottom and all deer meat in that one was bad. Trying to figure out where to take it. Land fill maybe?

I have the same issue. Although, I cleaned out most of the boxes during winter when it was cold. Still some frozen blood. I contacted a scrap guy here in Auburn and he said he didn’t care, he would come get it.
Edit to add, the city will pick it up here, you just have to take the lid off.

Dump it at someone’s hunting club gate, duh.

Find a scrap metal recycle yard. My son has picked up appliances behind a Lowe’s installer before and made a few bucks.

Exactly, load it on the back of your truck with the tailgate open and go really fast around a curve on an old road with hunting gates...seems to be what they do around here!

They make good worm beds and/or minnow tanks. Had a buddy that used them for both.

Had that happen back in the late 90's. Can still smell that smell.

I did burn one out once after I replaced the plastic lid with sheet metal. Made the best dang smoker ever. Very little charcoal and only had to refill once per day. Super efficient redneck smokers. Finally discarded it this year to free up shop space.
