I can't believe that this thread that has drifted away from making babies for bucks and evolved into a thread about college tuition finances, hasn't had the GI bill mentioned until right now. But then again, who wants to be a part of an Obama or Biden military... I sure am glad DT is the Commander in Chief now. It was relevant. Some republicans think people aren’t having enough babies. To the point they are mulling offering cash and “medals” (I just want to point out that is some WW2 Germany and current day Putin policies, btw). The issue with child tax credits, paying per kid born etc…. Is very socialistic. That resides on both sides these days

The motherhood medal idea has been pitched by Simone and Malcolm Collins, a couple of "pronatalists". They are not part of the Trump administration.

We are living such messed up world . Pay a women to have a baby WTH. Plenty kids needs adopted. If you can’t afford have a kid then don’t . Some folks pump out baby’s already for welfare and tax credit money with no daddy . So it’s already going on . A family member runs a day care . Make me sick to see the women dump the kids on someone else . And the daycare is paid with our tax dollars to take care of them. An don’t get me started on the stupid student loan fiasco. If you can’t pay for college don’t go . All friends of mine have really good jobs and none went to college . Started thru apprenticeship and worked way up . But...but, they gots to have somebody watch "dem" "chillrens", while they gets "dem" weaves and nails done! Then they gots to go to walmarks to use the EBT... I actual despise welfare garbage. I'm with Bham Fred on this one...F'em all. 70% of blacks are born out of wedlock. No wonder the black race is in such a mess.

It's a tax cut. There's not a tax cut I've ever been against.
That said, if you want women to be wives and mothers, you have to raise girls to be wives and mothers. There is not scenario wherein we get by without having enough children to replace us. That means the Caitlin Clarks need to stop playing childrens' games and start making more Clarks.
Feminism is cancer. Guess who started feminism? And who started welfare?, and it could be argued that this will end up as welfare. I like a tax cut also and have used it gladly through the years with our girls. But this entire thing makes for good discussion, which I think is all Trump was doing. Nothing will come of it.
