Remember to contact AON next year before season to get added to list and published in the magazine. If you know of anyone else please have them do the same.
I will be in the Chambers / Lee county area the weekend of Jan 19-21 if anyone needs a tracking dog.

I was on that list a couple years ago,I don't know what good it does to list the counties because every call I got was from five counties away. A couple said they had called AON and got my number from them but again they were from halfway across the state. Best thing the do is to call in a dog early instead of waiting a couple of days and having ten of your buddies walk around looking and transferring blood everywhere. Makes it harder and takes longer when the dog has to figure out whats a blood trail and what's just been transferred by search parties. If it's a big deer and you don't find him pretty damn quick, it's best to call in a dog instead of waiting. If you're hunting 50 acres ,get permission from adjoining landowners if possible to see if u can even continue if one crosses the line. My dog don't do a leash very well so I turn him loose, he can't read "no trespassing" signs and he's got one thing on his mind once he smells blood and that's finding a deer and hoping he's still alive when he get's there. Then the fun starts for him!

I am in Marengo county I have a drahthaar. She is young and I am wanting to get her on as many as possible. If I can get to you I will certainly help. Ask johnmb I helped him track one the other day. My cell number is 334-327-2472 and also 334-422-1084 text me after 9pm. I will travel within reason.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

Put me down for Houston Co. after Jan. 15. Takes me 2 hours to get to Dothan, unless I happen to be in the area on another track. I usually track for tips & fuel, but I need to get $125 to drive that far. My dog & I track over 100 deer a year with up to a 60% overall recovery rate, 99% on gut shots & about 70% on broken frt. legs. We recover nearly all of the deer that we track that have broken back legs. I can give dozens of references in Ga. & Fla. I can track on or off lead, day or night, as the case may require. 24/7,. We track 24 hr. old tracks usually with no trouble but like to get there as quick as possible after the shot. Rain is usually no problem, even if the blood is washed away. Randy Vick 229-224-1814

We’ll be working Macon Co and the surrounding areas out to about 50 miles. The “surrounding areas” will eventually grow once my young dog gets some more experience. Once I’m confident that he’s tracking like I want him to then I may venture out to whoever needs me.....it’ll just cost you if I have to drive a long distance.
