thanks yall! I was self filming my hunt and ended letting the does get a little farther out. I ranged them at 31 yards but they were really probably 35-40. i shot with my 30 yard pin and she ducked hard and turned away. the shot placement wasnt bad for the angle she was quartered away at...but she didnt bleed a bit and my arrow was fletching deep in her. well the next morning one of my buddies was showing me where the stand was that i should sit in was at. on the way there i noticed a light about 40 yards from the trail i was on, i thought it was someone with a little hat light on their hat. we then noticed it wasnt moving, my buddy said "it's your lighted nock!" sure enough there was my doe, with the arrow still in here. basically it was meant to be.

My son played baseball for Central High in Phenix City for the years 1997-2000. He is 30 now. You guys had good baseball teams back then as well as football team too . I played baseball too and really loved the sport. After high school, had an opportunity to try out for the Troy State baseball team but did not have my head screwed on right and blew the chance. Good talking to you and keep the deer coming!!!

I shot my doe Saturday afternoon in a hardwood bottleneck between two thickets.. Whiteoaks are dropping and with all the acorn sign I knew they'd be funneling in to feed and I was fortunate enough to get a big nanny in range. My good friend was videotaping me and I smoked her at 10 yards and she piled up after about 40 yards. In the process now of editing the hunt to make a video.
A little bit about me, I'm a Senior at Auburn University and guess we all got baseball in common cause I signed at Enterprise State Junior College after I went to Dothan High and played 2 years of college ball there before transferring to Auburn.
Grow, hold, and harvest..

They might not count that one. Aren't you supposed to have a piece of paper or something with team name, hunter name, doe or buck, buck needs to have all points visible with date written on on the paper? i bet you won't have a problem getting another though!

I killed a doe 2 years ago and forgot and did just like you. And it was not allowed.
Just get another one this weekend. Simple as that.

Went this morning. had a very disturbing and unproductive hunt. Two of our gates had been pushed in an broken but at least this time the scoundrels did not steal the gates, chains or locks as has happened over the last 5 or 6 months. I hunted in a favorite spot from last year but had not been in yet to trim back the limbs on its trails. That was a mistake. I was very noisy walking in carrying my climber and probably spooked everything within a mile of me. I was about 500 yards from a road and about 9:30 AM heard a car riding the road going extremely slower than usual as if he was looking for something. Then they stopped. After about an hour and since I hadn't seen anything and the wind was really kicking, decided to ease back to the truck. When I got within 75 yards, I heard something that sounded like someone was driving spikes in the ground with a sledge hammer. Across from where I park, there was a dude with an ax chopping some bamboo and cedar trees that was on our land. I told him he was trespassing and on private property and he said he was unaware it was private property and apologized and said he would not do it again. I told him of the vandalism and if there was a next time the authorities would be called. I haven't seen a deer yet and my buddy said the ones he has seen (4) are very skiddish and nervous acting. I think the hulligans have been riding our land at night doing who knows what possibly shooting and spotlighting. Oh well maybe next week.
