I have a Summit Goliath and love it. I will be buying another stand before next season and I may try a Tree Walker. I don't see how they could be as comfortable as my Summit but the platform is larger and that would be nice.
Perch, the Goliath has a 350mlb rating too.

Treewalker is Made in USA.
Summit was imported, they were supposedly going to start making stands in Decatur but not sure if they ever did follow through.
Ol' Man, no way in hell.
If I were shopping for a tree stand, I would go to the cpsc.gov website and look up the recalls that company has. I can guarantee you that for the tree stand and safety harness recalls over 90% of the time the country of origin/manufacture is China.
Then while you are shopping and see a stand you like and it has Made in China stamped on it, ask yourself if you really want to put your life in the hands of some prison labor of communist china. If you can read all the recalls and lawsuits against stands made in China and still want to put your life in their hands then march on.
Isn't all summit aluminum climbing stands made in the USA? I think just their lock ons and steel ladder stand are made in China.

Where are Summit Treestands Made? Since 1981, our main production facility has been in Decatur Alabama. Starting in 2012, all of our Aluminum treestands are designed, built and packaged in the USA with the exception of the included safety harness. Summit ladders, tripods and other steel items are designed in the USA but are imported from overseas. All imported parts are spec'd to our very high standards and inspected thoroughly before use. We have been building stands in Decatur since 1981. Our main office including management, engineering, marketing, sales, customer service and shipping are also located in Decatur.

Between the two you mentioned, whichever one has pins...... buy the other one.
If you are open to suggestions, I'd recommend a Summit. I've been climbing in the same one since 2003 and have had zero problems, zero slips on a tree, etc.

Looking for a new bow stand. Top 3 seem to be Treewalker, summit open shot (or the new one with tubes ) , and the new Ol Man Drone. Any advice? Have used all but the Treewalker. Drone looks sweet but afraid that retracting device could rust or fail after many seasons. Primarily looking for lightweight, climbing high and relatively small stand. Bow hunting only. Like to face tree at times. I sent you a pm.

Good Heavens!!! Not an OM!!! I have Summits and love them. I sat in a TW at the Deer Show and loved it!
I called cust service at Summit a few months ago and just wasn't treated very well and, well, if I'm spending money with you, at least be nice.
SO.... after my inexcusable customer service phone experience at Summit, I would get a Tree Walker. I have heard nothing but GREAT things about TW's. It'll be my next climber.
Oh, to validate myself about OM's... I have owned and hunted out of OM climbers. I HATE them. I have one now and it receives no action!!
Ol'man Climbers and Leaf River Game Cameras... two of the worst outdoor products I have ever used. Not so much OM climbers but I'm not crazy about them.

I always liked my old man I bought it used when I was 16 hunted out of it for 7 years. It wasn't the most comfortable stand but I always sit facing the tree and it was really simple to put on the tree and you could tote it a mile. Now the most comfortable stand I've ever been in was a buckshot big shot it weighed a ton but was like sitting in a la-z boy
We will burn that bridge when we get there

Im a Summit man. I have no plans for ever owning anything but a Summit climber from now until I decide to quit climbing. They are beyond a shadow of a doubt the best climbing stand I ever hunted out of. I also dont have anything negative to say about their customer service. My experiences with them have been 100%positive.

Does the price on the treewalker website include shipping?
