Dixie, I'm a Strait fan too. I lived in Houston before he made it big and used to go see him perform in barns around the countryside. He has always been the greatest in concert. I saw him in Gilley's when I lived there. The women went crazy and nearly tore the place down. Saw him a couple years later at the Livestock Rodeo and he stole the show. Rode his horse into the Astrodome and up to the stage.

Hard to pick one but it's probably Amarillo by Morning by George Straight. Some days it's Across the Great Divide by Kate Wolf or A living Prayer by Alison Krauss.
I can tell by reading this thread a lot of you boys don't even know what country music is. what you talkin bout willis' i like me some older country artists, george jones, hank, charlie daniels, jennings, haggard, all of the "outlaws"...but i like most all of them..alan jackson, travis tritt, alabama, chris ledoux, david allen coe, flatt&scruggs..i just like good music in general..

All time favorite is Simple Man. I like country, metal and older alternative but I ain't big on many new songs.
