Looks like I may make it without shooting a deer with a gun this year. Going bow hunting again this weekend and that will wrap me up for the season. So far 3 doe and a spike with my bow.

Will be my first year ever to have all my deer kills to be bow kills. The funny part is all my hog kills this past spring and summer were gun kills. Just a different approach!

I felt like a thug the last two mornings carrying a rifle. First time in several years. I did put it back in the safe this afternoon and got the assassin back out

Last trip with a daughter this afternoon, so I will have the evo starting this weekend for the morning trips and probably both on afternoon hunts.

I love to bow hunt but don't get to do it much since my son started going hunting with me. I still try to get in a couple of bow hunts during the season while he is at school.

I carried a rifle yesterday afternoon, for the first time since the opening day of gun season (shot a bobcat at 20 yards and wish I brought my bow). I will be back with my bow this afternoon, hunting the back end of a semi dry pond along the edge of a 90 acre field. I had good luck here last year, maybe I will have some more. Worst case I should get to film something.

I'm an avid bow hunter, if I have a shooter out of bow range my first thought is how to get closer. I haven't used a gun in several years... I just get way more enjoyment hunting with the stick and string. My 2 cents.
