As we see the rise in liberalism and the rise in little "c" conservatism in the culture, we who want to be more firmly rooted in our conservative ideology need to stay sharp. Christianity is also seeing a rise of little "c" christians as so many people have been compromised in their faith. Staying sharp and deeply rooted in the Truth is imperative. Reading the Bible is the best source for all true knowledge and understanding, but with that said, there are several political, historical, Christian resources that will also aid you in your quest for knowledge or let your purchase tools to help teach your family some good life lessons that are rooted in Biblical conservative ideals. Not everything below will be everyone's cup of tea. But it is a decent list of things to check out at least to see if is a good fit for you. I'm sure there are lots of other resources out there too...so add them to this thread as y'all see fit. 1. For a great does of conservative sanity...subscribe to Inprimis, a newsletter from Hillsdale College. Great stuff. http://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/2. Register for free online Constitution or History classes, also from Hillsdale. These are top notch and excellent classes for high school to senior adults. They are free, but a $50 donation is appreciated. This is teaching that you never got in high school, nor are your kids getting now in public or even private school. http://online.hillsdale.edu/3. Join the Heritage Foundation or use its website to research public policy, social and economic issue. http://www.heritage.org/4. Get involved with the Fixed Point Foundation, a Christian ministry that is bridging the sacred and the secular. The rock-solid information that flows from this group is incredibly awesome. http://www.fixed-point.org/5. Ever have a Biblical, Theology or Doctrinal question and need a trustworthy source for information? Try the Christian Apologetic Resources Ministry website for straightforward discussion and answers to a litany of questions and issues. http://carm.org/6. Evolution vs. Creationism? How do we know the Bible is True? What does the Bible say about______? and other BIG questions. There are two great resources at your disposal. Answers in Genesis http://www.answersingenesis.org/ Institute for Creation Research http://www.icr.org/ 7. Biblical Parenting? Family Resources from a Christian perspective? Need encouragement or to buy a book or media to share with your family? Try these three resources Focus on the Family http://www.focusonthefamily.com/ Titus 2 Ministries (Mom and Dad Corners) http://www.titus2.com/ Vision Forum http://www.visionforum.com/ 8. Need a great online bible tool more advanced that www.biblegateway.com ? Need the Greek text plus a language commentary side by side the translation of your choice? Try this great online Bible website: http://biblos.com/ If more "conservatives" or "conservative minded people" understood our founding, understood republic based federalism, understood real history, read the Federalist Papers and other writings during our formation and as the country was formed after the Revolutionary War, and understood our constitution as written and intended---then there would be many more people who "got it" on rights, freedoms and liberty. I only mentioned conservatives because liberals and their like don't care and want things reformed based on new ways of thinking. They revise history to change concepts and then teach it ad nauseum to the culture until regular people are brainwashed into compromised thinking. If more self-professed believing Christians really dug deep into the Word, really understood that God doesn't desire for us to be complacent and stay where we are comfortable, or really stepped out of the comfort zone and let their faith truly produce good works for his Kingdom purpose...then our world would greatly change for the better. Sadly, many just sit on the sidelines and let themselves or their children be brainwashed by the world secular culture so that their faith is compromised. Fight Back by educating yourselves...regain your faith and true conservatism...sharpen and hone your knowledge so you can UNTEACH what your children are being taught in school or by the culture.

Excellent! Thank you for those links. You are right straycat, God does not intend for us to be complacent and sit on our morals and beliefs. I pray for true revival in America. When that happens many of the problems of today will be diminished. For those who think America can't be changed, I challenge you to truly submit to God, allowing him to move in your life, and dive into a study of the Bible. Give thay a try and get back to me and let me know if you still believe America can't be changed; one person at a time.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Thank you straycat and you are absolutely correct Fur. I have battled with myself over the past few years trying to decide whether to put my kids in our Christian school here. A lot of our friends kids go there and I believe that it is excellent spiritually and academically. I've hung with public schools mostly because my son and to a lesser degree my daughter are witnesses to nonbelievers on a daily basis that might not otherwise be reached. We can make a difference if we truly believe we can. We need to be willing to do God's work. Easier said than done. He constantly takes us out of our comfort zone. Speaking of out of your comfort zone, here's a great guy for teaching anyone how to evangelize: www.markcahill.orgHe got me fired up to tell others like I never did before. I still got a long way to go.
