I couldn't help but get a kick out of part of his obituary that read "He will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty to friends, his dedication to the preservation of the hunting experience, his contributions to the paper industry and for his stubborness in his beliefs."

He was sure stubborn in those beliefs!

Update after Memorial Service:

Talked with two of his sons, Michael and Marcus. They were very surprised and honored that we wanted to do something in his memory. They introduced me to one of their sons (can't remember which one's) who was BigJacks #1 hunting buddy, and said he was the grandson most deserving and that would appreciate / use it the most.

I have donations of $270.00 so far. A Lifetime Hunting License is $522.70, so we have a ways to go if we are to pull this off.

For everyone that gives $20 or more I will put there name in a hat and draw one to take on a one day pig hunt. Weapon of choice.

You can beat that folks. If we get enough to purchase two I will draw another name and so on.

With 18 members making donations, we have a total of $420.00 so far.
Thanks to RobertD for getting the ball rolling on this, and to ElkHunter for donating a piggy hunt.

Just sent $25. I think the hunting license is a fantastic idea.

Andrew what's the updated total?
