Yup, and people putting pressure on deer don't run them off either. They like to hang around places where there are perceived predators...

My family has ran dogs over 60 years, we always try and stop our dogs. Sometimes you cant not stop them. We have had some killed and thats that but I would never shoot a mans dog for running a deer over my land. I would kill whatever he was chasing tho. I guess I feel like that because we run dogs but that is just my 2 cents.

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

you still don't shoot the dogs, you confront the owners.

that's right !!!! you kill ever deer the dogs are running and tell the dog owners thank you . lol

Not if you've spent a lot of time and money trying to actually manage a piece of property.

If you do what you're suggesting, you're reduced to hunting exactly the way they do, rather than hunting the way you choose to.

Sorry, that ain't right.

sure it is , i loved back standing dog hunters and killing deer they run off their land to me . it always made them real happy . lol

like you , they thought the deer were their deer . lol

Frankie, please point out where I said anything at all about deer belonging to me. You cannot. Do you know why? Because I never said anything of the sort. So, laugh out loud all you want, you're just laughing at yourself for making crap up.

Because it's my PROPERTY and my business what I choose to do on it. I choose to keep my property quiet and serene from outside influence, and there is zero reason I shouldn't expect to be able to do so.

Dude, that's EXACTLY what we were discussing.

There are almost 3 full pages regarding this thread which was started because some dogs got shot for running across other people's property...property that they pay to hunt and not have to put up with outside influence.

ok ,, been me though i'd said i don't want no damn dogs on my place to start with .

good bet though if they kill what ever , then at some point they gonna kill what ever their dogs jump on their land .

i'd just as soon kill it for them .. lol

now if they were turning the dogs loose on my land , i'd killed dogs till ran out of dogs or shells .

If you have dog hunters around you. Your land is not yours anymore. If you talk to them and express that you dont want the dogs on your land they will go out of there way to ruin your hunts. Especially if you have put in the time and money to hold the deer on your land. Without the game warden sitting there at the exact moment they come running trough your land you are helpless.Happens three to four times a week on our land.

Why do people go in and lease land right beside private property that people own and then try to change the very culture of the area???

Don't give me any, "It's MY land!" BS.

It is leased property that you chose to pay to hunt.....no more, no less.

Why not just lease property in an area that does NOT allow dog hunting? There are plenty of places like that.

So you are admitting that trespassing and being jackasses is a culture for the dog hunters?

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or what? You can't be serious. Why don't the dog hunters lease all of the land they need to contain their dogs on? Give me a break. Wouldn't that be convenient for dog hunters if everyone of their neighbors packed up left. Then they could continue to hunt all of that land illegally without anyone complaining about it.

I dont lease my land is in the clear paid for by my hard work.

But your saying just allow the dog huters to run you off.So I have a question for you.Why cant the dogs hunters just obey the law and keep the dogs on their property? If they did that there would be no issues with anybody.
