Wish I had that problem. Im on a well and would have noticed an hour later when we couldnt get a shower.

Tell them you had, found and fixed a leak. Some water companies will forgive it the first time if you find it and they dont have to find it for you! This ^ We had a leak at my grandmothers house one time and called the water department about it. They ended up just averaging the last 6-10 months bills and charged her that.

My hose puts out 7.5 gallons per minute. That's 27,000 gallons.
