You have a lot to learn about marriage. It's a relationship of two people, not one, and not a "ruler of a domain" or anything along those lines.

AMEN brother. I'm blessed with that kind of marriage as well, and sometimes I honestly feel bad for people who aren't- especially friends of mine who are literally afraid of their wives most of the time.....just....well...sad.

All i was tryin to get across is we dont know if this buck was poached. Not tryin to get this thread hijacked. Every household is different. And dont condem me because i respect my wifes wishes, and have to get her permission to hunt or fish. I would hardly call that idiotic

Same here except 28 years. I exposed mine to all my "bad habits" before we married. Couldn't run her off! smile

so what my wife says goes.
call it whooped if you want. but yes i have to run everything by her first.

No man or woman should have to live in a relationship like this. I would be willing to bet you give up hunting in the next 5-10 years because she tells you to. Not being a smart a$$ or rude but just my observation.

I confer with my wife before I go hunting or whatever but it is out of respect, not to ask permission.

x2. No way I would live with 20 question beat down every time I walked through the door coming home from somewhere. Not saying you do.... but where there is flame like that.........

My mother is laid back and my dad does not have to ask to do anything.
but this generation of women is different my friends!

or it could just be that my wife is a yankee. but trust me you would ask her permission. otherwise you would be cookin your own food, doing your own laundry, pickin up after the kids, and gettin to know your hand pretty well to.

If i go hunting without her blessing on the situation, i catch it big time when i get back. and i mean big time.

Wow... You'll wake up one day and either put your foot down or leave. Trust me on that.
You must be in your 20's??
Not bashing you here at all, but son, you've got a lot to learn. When your 40 or 50 you'll look back on this and shake your head.

I've never understood why people (man or woman) would put theirself in a relationship like that. A grown man "having" to ask permission to do everything is going to lead to a long misirable life. I say its time to man up and grow a set before its to late.

Phuck that! You are a grown ass man. Neither me nor my wife "rule" the house, it's a mutual understanding. If I want to go fishing, hunting or if I just want to scratch my balls all day while sitting on the sofa, I'm going to do it. The 28th me an my wife are going to celebrate 15yrs of marriage, at the rate you are going you aren't going to make it that far. You need to sit her down and explain to her what the definition of a husband is. Then tell her the last time you checked you only had 2 legs and no master.

I have a real good buddy that has to ask permission to do anything. It's sad really... the wife and I actually laugh at them and tell each other we're glad we aren't that way. He gives the same excuses about wanting her to be happy but i can tell when I'm with him he isn't happy. He puts on a face but I've known him since we were kids and he can't get much by me.

A man can't be a slave in his own house, it'll get to you one way or the other.

I Hate Poachers, you better run or learn to tame that woman. You obviously ain't doing something right, somewhere, that's all Im saying.

There aint a 22 year old "girl" around that going to enforce her will on a MAN that way, unless she is putting something serious on him in her spare time.

I am in my late 20's and I would NEVER let a female tell me what to do. Thats not how I was raised. My mother fixes my fathers plate and brings it to him, My grandmother fixes my grandfathers plate and brings it to him. My girl friend seen that and has caught on quick, my grandmother asked her at Christmas why she had a plate and I didn't... (good looking out grandma)!!

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

He doesn't need marriage counseling......he needs a divorce lawyer!

Because just as sure as I am typing this; that is where he is headed.

Somebody mark that down....... smile

Poacher, its easier to get forgiveness than permission. I told my now fiance I had to run by my club I was in to get something I left, this was on a Sunday, I had all intentions on just picking it up and heading back. Well when I got there two people had seen bucks chasing that morning. I came back home on Thursday smile. Grow a pair!!!! Life's too short to be led around like a poodle

Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers..........
