I've been married 23 years to a wonderful woman.
We have a positive, loving relationship that is built on, among other things, trust and definitely NOT who is "in charge" or who is "trained."
We check with each other about plans. We don't "ask permission" to go do something. I don't "tell her" she can or can't, and she doesn't "tell me" that I can or can't do something.
You have a lot to learn about marriage. It's a relationship of two people, not one, and not a "ruler of a domain" or anything along those lines.
I went through a few before I found one that was a partner and enjoyed hunting and fishing WITH me, that's why I got married at 35. I let her know where and when I am going and usually ask if she wants to go with me! Have never heard a complaint about it.
I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine

Who the heck needs permission from their wife or girlfriend to go hunting or fishing? That's idiotic.
From Oct 15 to Jan 31, if its not Sunday and Im off work, she has to ask my permission for me not to hunt. In almost 20 years of marriage I never recall her asking me what I was going to do on my off days, because its a standing understanding, that Ill be hunting.

He will respond to all of this when he gets the green light. Never would put up with this, even when I was younger. Somehow I gotta blame Obama. ![laugh laugh](/forum/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif)

He doesn't need marriage counseling......he needs a divorce lawyer! Because just as sure as I am typing this; that is where he is headed. Somebody mark that down....... Yep. I will make another bet..he catches her in bed with a man that doesnt have to ask to do anything.

This just probably falls under a "I wish I could take back that original post" thread. Dammit man, even if it was true, why would you post it....
