"old lady" is just a figure of speech. I went on forty plus hunts this year. Its not like i dont get to hunt. On the other hand its not worth going if she doesnt want me to in her heart. She needs my help alot. So if she wants me to stay home i will, its not worth the flak i catch to just go anyway. Like i said you guys dont know all the circumstances. She has had a rough life. Her mother is a meth addict. Among many other things.
Like some of you said 50/50. Its not all about me. And i will go above and beyond for my wife and babies. I will thank most of you for the advise. Except burbank. All i have to say to you is $&@$ you
Matt Not trying to bash, just advice from someone a little further down the road. I went thru a deal with a wife that I tried like heck to please. It worked for 3 years, then one day something snapped. If you love the woman, get with somebody, maybe church or something, and get some counselling. Do it for the kids if nothing else. The diapers will go away, make this a fun time. Kids are God's greatest gift, they will try your patience, but it's worth it. I hope the best for ya'll, I really do, but from what you've said here, this is going to end badly.

LMAO@The burbank comment. Im afraid that he might send his wife over to kick my ass! Matt, If you are going to post what you did...be prepared for the comments. Im trying to wake your ass up. Be a good dad and husband, but dont be a whipping boy to anyone. Trust me, ive seen friends go through the same thing. If her home life was rough...your marrige will likely be too. Tread lightly....and get counseling now IMO.

In a nutshell, I had invited some of these 5 aldeer members to come down for a hog hunt before deer season kicked in. I forgot and left my computer logged on to aldeer. When I returned home from a trip that she didn't want me to take anyway, she had burned up one computer and was pecking away on a laptop. I think she passed 500 post in the first day. How the hell do you think I got to be 12 point. She counsels folks all the time anyways, and it was one big group therapy. I'm not sure how many aldeer members never returned after that one but I know she left a mark on few a$$es, including mine. So she straighten out the whole bunch in a couple days, and went into retirement. WOW.

Cut the guy some slack, all relationships go through cycles. It does HAVE to be a relationship tho, not a dictatorship. There has to be discussion, consideration and a little negotiation to get through tight spots. You've got to make adjustments as you go, and y'all are going to be fine.
I know that most of y'all ain't all that different when you were raising kids, you kissed up and played nice so you could play, go along to get along or however you looked at it.
Now about this deer.......

The last few pages makes me appreciate my wife even more. My first wife after 3 yrs of marriage decided I had to have her permission to hunt , fish spend money or anything else. That sh!t lasted about a week . she has been another mans problem for the last 15 yrs.

Been with her for six years. I didnt hunt or fish when we first got together. thats were i messed up i suppose. I didnt start the outdoor life until about three years ago. But i love bein outside and enjoying Gods creation, And im not gonna stop anytime soon. even gonna turkey hunt this year, no matter how much flak i catch. I think she will even enjoy it with me, once our kids get older and there not so mother dependent.
And i wish i was jokin about the buck i killed. I stopped and showed it off anyway of course, didnt go over to well at home tho. she called my buddies wife to see if i had stopped. and i told her heck yeah i did. but caught alot of flak over it.
so its not like im totally sackless here. but i do know one thing for sure, there is absolutely no way, under any circumstance, that i could wake up every day and not see my children. could not live with it.
so until there raised and gone i will do what i gotta do. The wife and I actually have a good relationship. we get along great as long as she gets to see me every day and spend time with me. and im not gone all the time hunting and fishing.
but yeah lets get back to the brookwood buck. would like to know the real story myself

Poachers' wife is going to get on here tonight after handing him the babies and thread-jack all y'alls asses. Mine, too, probably.
Wasn't there a giant buck in question somewhere on this thread?
