Anyone in central or some of the northern openers want an extra caller to go along? If it was close enough I don't have any plans yet.

Carrying my cousin, he has a new 870 and he is stoked. I carried him for his first deer now hopefully will get him his first bird.

yep, me and my 6 year old...looks like the weather is going to cooperate too.

I've got 2 youths wanting to go but I haven't locked in a place to go yet.

Me and my son are going.

Taking my 8 year old boy and 10 year old girl. Couldn't close the deal last year with them, hopefully this year will be different.

Planning to take my little cousin. I can't wait. If he can't go Ill be looking for someone else to take so if y'all know someone let me know.

The two I try to hunt with have ball tournaments again. That makes two years in a row. That should be against the law.

Well my cousin has a baseball tournament so he's out.

Both of my sons will be with me. My youngest is excited, he missed two on opening morning last season so he's looking for some redemption.

If anyone needs a place, I would gladly give up a guest day to see a youngster kill his/her first. Shoot me a PM.

My son has baseball both days. So, we will not be in the woods next weekend.

talked to my cousin this evening,and don't look like I will be going either.

Dang is anyone going? I used to always try and get my cousins to go in TN, but they always had ball. I think I took one of them for a couple hours one year and he missed three times in about two hours.

I agree YEKRUT,people have got there priorities screwed up these days,I can't understand how anyone could put ball over Turkey hunting!!!!

I can remember hunting on the weekends with dad when I had ball games. I may have been dragging ass cause I woke up at 3am, but I didn't not hunt because of baseball. And he knew better than to make me choose between the two, because I would have worn a mossy oak uniform, NO DOUBT!

I will have my stepson in the woods (jakeman45 on here) Saturday shooting a load of TSS. He has killed 2 so far and screwed up on a bunch the first couple of years. Gotta learn one way or another

Another cousin is going with me. He's been on me about wanting to hunt. He's only nine so well see how that goes.

i'll be taking my 13 yr old daughter this weekend. she is pretty stoked, but wished deer season was still in. last yr on the youth hunt we struck out, but the first 4 days of regualr season last yr will be hard to beat.

I killed one opening afternoon and the next morning. drove back to pcola and pick her up friday night. called two gobblers in for her and stupid me told her to shoot. she put the whole load in a pine tree. when they walked away she said quote, "that was an eye opener. i didn't see the second one until they walked away". I learnd my lesson...she'll shoot when she is ready and kills things when she does.

she did not bother them as we watched them gobble as they walked off. called those two back in the next morniong, but they were not coming any closer than 50 yards to that hen that exploded on them the afternoon before.

i get SO much more fired up when she shoots than me. her first buck this year during youth hunt "dad. will you calm down, so I can take the shot." then on the second one she shot...she shot he ran about 10 steps and stopped. just instinct on my part, i bolt a live round out to get a fresh on in the chamber at the sound of her shot. like a dog slobbering when the dinner bell rings.

I'll have Dev in the woods Sat morning and it can't get here fast enough for either of us!

Depending on Sunday game time. We may go Sunday morning. I was subjected to him practicing a mouth call all the way back from mobile today. That is a lot of squeaking.

Wish I could make it, I have to work all weekend.

I might get to go on a youth hunt and flim the action. I'm waiting on my buddy to confirm if it's a go.

I will be taking my son this weekend. My son had a great deer season killing a 15.5" wide 8 point and a does this past season. I am hoping his good fortune carries over into this weekend. I know he is pumped about going, and I would love to see him mow down a long beard.

I'm planning on taking one of my sons and also letting a friend bring his son to my lease.

It's amazing how often baseball jacks up a good turkey hunting day. I'll be taking my nephew and his on Saturday.

Sounds good...I can't wait. You know...my recent hearing test stated I had excellent hearing. You would not tell my turkey hunting buddies that have hunted with me that....LOL.
