No luck? I have some buddies camping out there this weekend, and haven't heard any reports back yet.

We saw a group with one. At noon none had been checked out yet but that doesn't mean a whole lot. We are camping out next weekend maybe one will walk thru our camp.

My crew got one. Looking forward to hearing the story. Sounds like they had to drag it out a long way.

The place is covered up with hogs. COVERED UP.

Not the best of days to hog hunt either. They don't move well in rain and snow.

Matt I didn't realize who you were today. We were the ones in the red s10 blazer. We went pretty deep in with no luck, we chicken out and didn't make it all the way. We had to be back in HSV. before dark, lots of sign down there. Thanks for your help.

I remember you.

Honestly, I didn't expect much killing today with the weather like it was. Any time we have a precipitation event the hog sightings and activity is so low you would think we didn't even have any hogs. It'll pick up next week with the warmer/clearer weather.

Bankhead does have a lot of hogs. The problem is there are people that dog the hell out of it with hounds "Squirrel Hunting" in Febuary. When the March hog hunt comes around the hogs are so scattered it makes it tough to stalk hunt them.

Don't know where Allred is. We're camping at Brushy Creek tomorrow night. We're planning to hunt tomorrow afternoon and all day Saturday.

Well, the 4th annual pig fest is over with a bang! Matt told us a place last week that held pigs and man was he right, THANKS MATT. About 4 miles in, 2 off the trail we shot a confirmed 8 and tracked 9 and 10 until we couldn't go any longer. We ended up having a blast. Again thanks Matt, I know you get a hard time for people not seeing any with your advice but we wont ever doubt you. Pics to come.

A very big thanks to Matt for VERY good information. Only problem was lack of ammo I should have carried 100 rounds into the woods instead of only twenty. Next year I'm bringing a Beta mag(or two), 100 rounds of 300 blackout, I can't wait.

As long as yall are killing them things keep it up!

Now don't expect any help during turkey season. I don't give that info to no one. Last thing I need is mad turkey hunters.

Speaking of turkeys matt how have they been doing from all these hogs. I own some land in Bankhead and this past year hogs have hit my place pretty hard, and my turkey sightings have gone way down.
