Boycott who? Everyone who sells ammunition? The price of ammo has gone up because demand has gone up while supply has remained steady. It is simple supply and demand economics. I saw bricks for $39 a while back and I said I wasn't going to pay that. At that time, they were selling on line for $49-79. Last week, I bit the bullet, and went to go buy a brick of the $39 CCIs. They were sold out. The market price is dictated by what the market will pay, not by what we would like it to be

Y'all boycott and I'll buy more ammo....When SHTF y'all can throw them boycott signs down and try to buy ammo then.Like I said I'm not paying no damn 100+ bucks for a brick but I'll pay .10-.12 cents per round for 22lr all day long as long as everybody else is selling it for .40-.50 cents per round.May be a long time before we see it readily available for pre Obama prices if we ever see it that low again.

Really? Stop buying it and watch how fast the price comes down.

Stop buying it and see how fast you missed out from buying ammo.
You really think that everyone is going to boycott ammo while there are people that take every opportunity to find a way to restrict 2nd Amendment rights?
I don't know anyone that purchases from cheaper than dirt but they still manage to command a high price and sell out.
Trox is right. You go on boycotting and when it all goes to shitt try to trade that boycott sign for ammo. We can all live in that fantasy that Boxer, Biden and company have been defeated. You can't turn back the clock and you don't have to pay crazy prices for ammo but when you find a decent price its best to make the purchase if you so choose.

Keep feeding the frenzy my friends, keep feeding the frenzy. As for me, I was ready for when the SHTF back in 08 when the Kenyan was elected the first time and 22 LR was 3 cents a piece.

That right there is the key. Most of us were prepared but about 75% or more were not and they are playing catch up.
It is like watching Katrina all over again. The people that could see what was happening were prepared but you still had a vast majority that sit around and wait until the storm makes landfall.

You can mock SHTF doomer gloomers if you want but its just like the saying goes, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

You're trying to get people that can't even agree on whether or not to outlaw hunting with dogs to stop buying ammo?
Good Luck

I don't think we will ever see bricks or bulk packs back in the $15-20 range again. Even after things slow down, I think the new average price will be in the $25 range. Ask your self this. How much money do you think it costs to manufacture one standard 22lr round? Consider the primer compound, powder, brass, and bullet. The manufacturers were selling them for around $0.02 a round in bulk packs and bricks. I am certain there is about that just in material costs. Manufacturers weren't making much on the economy 22 rounds, but they were constrained by what the market price was. Manufacturers have figured out the market value of 22lr is higher than it used to be. I might be wrong, but I think the days of $15 bricks are gone forever. I have around 4,000 rounds, so im not in dire straits. But I would like to have some more. It doesn't take long to burn a lot of 22lr in a hurry.
