I've given this home remedy to 7 people and it has worked for 6. It will only work on the calcium form of kidney stones but those make up 85% of all cases.
Mix 4 oz extra virgin olive oil with 4 Oz pure lemon juice. Mix in a little honey and heat to warm in microwave. It taste horrible but with in an hour of drinking there will be no more pain. You may repeat the next day if there is any pain but one dose usually does it. After a week or two you will pass the stone with no pain. The only indication that you passed it will be a little blood in your urine. I recently gave this remedy to a man who had suffered from them all his life and who was about to miss a missions trip with 7 kidney stones. Within an hour he was good to go and made the trip with no problem.Good luck! I did that with my last stone. A nurse told me about it after a visit to the ER and it did seem to help. I passed it in about 3 days. I keep Lortabs in all my vehicles because of kidney stones! One time I stayed in the bed for a week because of a kidney stone. I could only eat crackers and drink water. I lost 20 lbs before I passed that one!

From my experience in the ER with patients with kidney stones it sometimes is just a watch and wait kind of thing. If they are large enough to break up, they can do that. But if you have alot of small ones or maybe just a few small ones, you just have to pass them. The best thing to do is go to the ER if your pain gets uncontrollable, they can possibly help you with IV pain medication and possibly a prescription for oral pain meds to get you through the rest of your bout with your stones. They will probably give you a little filter that you will pee through, that is so that you can bring the stone back to your doctor and have them analyze it and see if it is heavy in calcium or such, thus requiring you to make slight changes to your diet. hope that helps.:)
