Seems like a good place to put my latest complaint about Big Government - anybody read the story about the bill they passed to start regulating barber shops? Yea, our Republican legislature and Republican governor decided that we stupid little people wouldn't be safe unless we started paying a wise govt employee to come around and inspect all the barber shops and make sure they are safe. Of course, this won't be free; it will be added to the price of a haircut. And it comes with all sorts of rules as to who can open a barber shop and cut hair. George Wallace was right - there ain't a dime's worth of difference between the 2 parties. I get my hair cut at one of two barber shops - both are one-girl operations. They are no doubt barely making a living. If I thought they were unsafe, I'd go somewhere else. I don't need some dweeb from the state to inspect them for me. I hope they can both stay in business, but I'm sure they will have to raise their rates to pay for the new inspectors. This doesn't have much to do with the thread, but the thread needs a fresh argument. 49er, I hope you can use this in some way.  It fits right in PCP. Nanny state rules have no limits or bounds. Pretty soon you'll probably be required to get a haircut before you go to the woods because it is a known fact that deer are repelled by human hair. That can't be good for the herd. I think I read that in a QDMA magazine when I was a member... or maybe goobler said it... I can't keep up with which liberal said what there's so many lately. That is exactly why I shave my head

I ain't through with you and the Advisory Board yet. Here's more: ... During the CAB meeting in March, the only nay vote on the elimination of the fall season was by Gary Lemme. He asked current Conservation Chief of Wildlife Division Gary L. Moody if there was any biological reason to close the fall turkey season. Mr. Moody’s response was no. There was no other discussion and the vote was taken.
The only reason the CAB wants to close the fall turkey season is politics. The wildlife chief said there is no biological reason, the turkey population is high and there have been no reported turkey hunting safety issues during the fall season. The only conclusion we can draw from all of this is the decision is political...

You mean you don't like those guys? They are all for adding more government intrusion into your life and taking away freedoms slowly but surely........kinda like the mandatory reporting system does. Guess 49er is just toeing the line here at home against people who want to take your freedoms outright or through incrementalism. How hard is it really to just make a dang phone call jeez there are way more important things that 49er needs to be focusing on ........just saying your expertise can be better used on the things that really matter like the gun rights issue you have been involved in earlier..... How many more new crimes will it take you make you happy? Freedom and liberty are lost a little piece at a time. No freedom or liberties lost....you can still kill the same amount of deer just now you will need to make one more phone call to brag about your kill Every little piece of freedom and liberty is worth keeping. It was bought with the blood and sacrifice of many brave men and those who loved them. Don't dishonor them by failing to treasure your liberty. I agree but again I do not see any liberty or freedom lost by making a phone call. And that is EXACTLY how your freedoms and liberties are lost! Great example!!
