Looks like he is one curve from trade day. You shoulda waited around and got a pic of him hauling hhis goat or chicken home after the swap was made!!

A buddy of mine sent me these pics this morning and said that he was back to pedaling the car tire. Come to find out, the kid was taking the tire off of his moms car and riding it to Falkville everyday to put air in it so that his mom could go job hunting. It's sad that I this was having to be done. My buddy took the tire and got a plug put in it. Hopefully that helps for the time being.

Its a decent ride into Falkville especially on a bike like that with a tire and wheel strapped to it. I assume he is also the one taking it off and on daily which isn't a lot of fun. Not to mention the embarrassment of actually riding something like that around with a tire tied to it. It says a lot about a kid who is willing to do something like that. I live in Hartselle so Lacon isn't that far from me. If you know or could find out where the kid lives I would be happy to visit them and as a Christian (Baptist) share the gospel with them and invite them to my church and help with the tire if it needs fixed or replaced and maybe some sort of money or help.

That's a great kid for doing that everyday for his mom......but on the other hand, that tire might be his girlfriend.....ya never know....

i would like to help that kid and his mom out as well, my mom was single parent and i did crazy stuff to help her, coulda been me on that bike 25 yrs ago. school coming up this kids mom has no job, he probably would appreciate some clothes and shoes.

They are some real good guys on this site I had knee surgery yesterday and will be released from the hospital sometime today so I will try to find out if the story holds up to be true. If it does, I will get with the ones who say they would like to help his family and get them some contact information for em.
