Based on that answer I should just apply for my ebt card tomorrow. If you really think about it all of these entitlement and government aid programs are paid for by taxpayers as a whole, not just the person receiving it. There are lots of people with kids that get back more than they put in. How did they pay into those programs? And yes I know wic isn't ebt but its still a government handout at some level

Im sorry you feel the way you do about WIC. Im as conservative and pro small goverment as they come, but this is a program I fully support. It is designed for people who really need it. I know because I was there and needed it, and understand how regulated it is. It is far from a handout. I have held a job since I was 14 years old, never going more than 30 days unemployed. I worked through high school, college, and continue working now. I can promise I didnt receive any more "handout" than what I put in over those years. WIC is a temporary program, and as soon as we could get off we did.

I will second Matt's sentiments. This is an accurate account of the WIC program.

Not really. Most people that would need WIC dont pay get all and then some of their tax money back at the end of the year.Regardless if you did pay some taxes through out life it didn't specifically go for WIC or foodstamps you probably get way more in WIC than the percentage of your tax dollars payed into it.
