I have waited a while before posting pictures, one for my permit and two make sure it was going to live. I seen this baby doe one morning going to work on the side of road. It was the smallest fawn I had ever seen about the size of a buck rabbit, well on my way home that evening about 30 yards up the road it was out in road bleating so I stopped and it came running towards me, it's sides was sunk in. I think it may have been a triplet and it's mother abandoned it and it was a runt, but I called local GW and told him the situation he got me a permit and told me I could keep it in a pen until it was big enough to survive on it's own. It didn't do real good at first, so I put it in with a Ewe lamb well they took up like ole pals and it's doing great, my kids feed it everyday, and that sheep will stomp at you like its her baby. Maybe it will survive and stay with the sheep out in the pasture. All I can say is LIVE DECOY.. LOL. But it is all legal for the next 3 months anyway.

It came running up to you?!?!? And I bet it got right under you too. Damn, that makes my parental instincts come out and dare anything to touch it!!! Innocence at its best.
If you could just teach her to make her rounds when she's in estrus and bring a handsome fella to your stand!!!!!
Good luck with Buttercup. Glad she's a she.

You can put a collar on her and turn her loose in the yard. When she hangs around the house you can say you told me I had to release her she just keeps following me home. I would love to have one around my house it would fit right in with my turkeys.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

do not under ANY circumstances put a collar on that deer, it will hang up on something and kill her. Collars are a death sentence.

Are there ear tags or anything that are safe and could help distinguish her in the wild Troy? Maybe save her life during hunting season? Cool stuff Daniel! ![thumbup thumbup](/forum/images/graemlins/default/grinning-smiley-003.gif)
