Surprisingly, not much emotion out of Saban either.
I think he might be passed that now. Perhaps he thinks he can get to the guys better by not flipping chit. If I were him, I'd be losing my mind right now. For what it's worth, Jones will change the way teams play us in the kicking game for the rest of the year. Much like Julio, he won't have too many chances from here on out.

I'm ready to watch some ground pounding, clock-controlling offense wind this clock down and get the team back to T-town.
Then we can talk chit about UGA and Clempson.

Either VT is waaaaay better than I thought, or we are playing well beneath our capability. I think I know which. To their credit, I'm very impressed with VT's secondary and defensive front. Foster's got our number in the run game.
Send in your checks now to the athletic department to support the Jones' Heisman campaign.

I'm ready to see Landon Collins contribute on the defensive side of the ball.

I think Saban's challenging the o-line at this point. Playcalling has been too vanilla to think otherwise. Every time Bama runs outside, the yards are there, but Nuss continues to call running plays up the middle. He's trying to grown them up.

The bright side is they did not play well at all on offense but still beat a decent team by 25. RTR

3 New offensive lineman I kinda thought this may happen. Alabama has alot of work on the o line.

thank goodness for a bye week. Bama has A LOT to work on. AJ's words about the explosive offense took a hit. The one where "if they stop the run, we'll throw it. If they stop the pass, we'll run it." I didn't see a whole lot of either that was impressive.
I'm all about the scoreboard but take away pick 6 and 2 special team TD's and we only win by 4 points. Offense has got to stay on blocks, open some holes, and protect AJ better. Fowler was awful but seems each time he went in, the O-line dissolved. Plenty of work to be done. No way we beat TAM if we play like we did today.

I don't think you attribute Fowler's results solely to him. The playcalling when he was in was atrocious and the line chit the bed.

They are lacking on Offense but that is a good defense. That line has close to 100 career starts and they were pretty highly ranked, I think top 20 Total Defense last year. Could be one of the most experienced lines they face this season. UA has 3 new linemen and a new coach. Probably about 30 career starts total along that line. '75 team lost the first game to Mizzou. Got the win, avoided the injury bug and 2 weeks to improve. Could have been a lot worse.
