The Alabama coaching staff IMO had no reason to show the offensive hand. Alabama gained a lead early off of special teams play, then scored an offensive touchdown, and gained a 14 point lead on the Sunseri INT for a TD. The play calling was plain vanilla on purpose. They could have exploited the 9 men in the box D that VT was running but IMO chose not to because of our next opponent TAM. Our offensive look will look a lot different next game and I think the tide will be a lot more motivated.

Same guys that are crying now were crying then about how how Stoutland sux, no way we can beat so and so , and DJ Fluker has no business playing D1 football. That team ended up doing ok. I can't for the life of me figure out why somebody who is an Alabama fan whose been thru the Shula and DuBose years wants to bitch and complain and yell woe is me rather than enjoy the success Alabama is having right now.
I agree. My biggest concern was Cooper dropping 3 balls and Howard dropping one. If those balls are caught AJ ends up with over 200 yards passing and it's even more of a blowout. The corners were beat a couple times but hopefully having Geno back will help if he's sober enough to play. A 25 point win against a Beamer coached team doesn't happen a lot.

I watched the game again this morning. VT was blitzing and there were no adjustments, no crossing routes, no slants and one screen. Only thing I can tell is that they were content with just forcing the offense to fight the blitz. They must have thought that the lead was enough and they were going to work on some things is all I can tell.

Heard on the round table yesterday that the bama oline said vt came out in some fronts they had never seen before and ran a lot of stunt that they hadn't seen on film. Sounds like the tech dc did his homework and came out with a good plan. Their oc on the other hand...didn't.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
