I guess I looked at it like Bill, whether he was or wasnt a fraud was no skin off my back.

I am a VERY analytical and skeptical person normally but Ive noticed a change in myself since getting things right in my life. I tend to believe now that (maybe foolishly) that most people are inherently good. It may be my daily surroundings that contribute as well. I live and work away from the "city", have great neighbors, co-workers and friends so i don't surround myself with nonsense. Whatever he was or wasnt doesn't affect me in the least, Ill send prayers up for him regardless.

My life has been centered around helping people with health and disability issues for over 20 years. I help the ones that I can and do my best not to feel condemmed for not being able to help everyone. I've been fooled and burned by people, that's just part of it. I think Skinny did the right thing, but BlackHawk still gets my prayers and best wishes. Obviously he needs healing in many ways.

Ha! He's not the first. There have been men and women on here in the past begging for handouts. Some were living better than most of us already.

He wasn't a very sharp angler IMO. He still managed to hook a few.

I don't understand how a man that had a stroke and supposedly didn't have the use of his left hand could shoot a bow. He said in another thread it was hard to type one handed with only two fingers that worked. I know he shot a bow cause he was at the Madison county trail shoot back in May or June.

It's not impossible. Sometimes with a stroke you dont regain the fine motor skills required to write, type, etc. However you can still use your arm in some fashion. I will say this about Blackhawk. As some of you know my mother had a major stroke about a month ago. Blackhawk took the time on multiple occasions to PM me asking about her condition and providing some information on what I could expect. He has never asked me for a thing during that time period and always seemed sincere during our communications. The man is not all bad, and I greatly appreciated his words of encouragement during that time. With that being said, I have not personally met him so I cannot not comment on his past. You guys would have a little more compassion if one of your relatives had a major, debilitating, stroke. I will still give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not saying anything about him. My grandfather had a stroke as well. I just know he said he couldn't use his left hand in another thread and I also know he shot a tournament. Just thought it was odd.

I have sympathy for someone with a stroke. But, I don't have sympathy for someone who acts like him no matter their ability or disability. In other words being a veteran or being disabled doesn't give you the right to do what ever you want with no repercussions.

Doekiller, have you not ever been around someone that has has a stroke? In a lot of cases, their internal filter is missing. (Best way to describe it). My mother is the same way after her stroke. She can't help it. Blackhawk may or may not be in the same boat.
