I always gave him the benefit of doubt being a veteran but I wasn't to sure if he was on the up and up on some things.
People should keep an internet forum in perspective. Don't get personal feelings for a total stranger. Most of the time you can tell a person's character in the words they type as well as say.IMO

One of my issues was that everyone just excepted that he was a veteran and that he had a stroke. I don't know of anyone that actually knew any of it to be true. It may have been, but all his other stories were so far fetched, I had a hard time believing him. I rarely if ever responded on any post he made. Something just didn't seem right about him. With that being said, I'm gonna admit something that I should probably be ashamed of. I am probably one of the most sympathetic persons around, but where BH was concerned I just felt disgust. Not sure why, maybe it's the part of me that believes everyone should stand on their own two feet and not air ALL their dirty laundry for the world to see.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

So was he lying about being a veteran as well? I don't know? My question was if anyone knew if he was or wasn't. Everyone just excepted that he was a veteran because he said he was.

I'll help anyone that actually NEEDS it as I think most folks on here would too. The Aldeer group proved that with the elderly lady I knew that had her rear window busted out about a year or so ago and the Aldeer group took up over $1,100.00 for her. She still has to stop and hug me and tell me what a good group of guys ya'll are everytime she sees me. I can't stand someone looking for a handout though. ESPECIALLY if they are using the "I'm a vet" angle.

I'm not big on people airing out all of their life details either but if he really had a massive stroke and he had no one else to talk to then I can see where it could happen. If he was a fraud then all the lobbying for sentiment against him got him banned and those that were against him being a member here can feel justified that he got what was coming. If he wasn't a fake and was just a extremely lonely mentally impaired man then it's a shame what happened. Either way he never cost me a dime and there are worse things than getting fooled. I honestly had no idea if he was fake or not but the way I looked at it was it didn't cost me a thing to be nice or overlook his post and if he was a fraud I wasn't out anything either.
