I've got one that I got officially scored that would make muzzleloader book in Bama...never put him in there. Got another with a gun that would possibly make it...but never went to the trouble to have him officially scored. They grew the horns...not me. The less places my name is, the better. All any publicity gets you regarding deer hunting is more folks hunting your landlines...

I hunt because I like to. I grow big deer because I'm blessed to have enough land to do it on. I don't do it to see my name in magazines or books.....

That said, if my wife or kids killed a deer big enough to go in the book, I'd probably want them to put it in there.

I've got two that will go P and Y that are not in the books. I'm to the point now that I don't even want to show friends what I kill or get pics of.

I would enter any buck big enough to meet the P&Y minimum. We have 1 P&Y buck entered from our club lastyear. After only 4 years on a management program we are seeing more bucks that will score over 125. We have set a goal to have bigger bucks and one tool to use is harvest "recored book bucks" (not mandatory just our goal). We harvest more does then we can eat and we give away a lot of the meat.
